1 In this third revision, the instrumental methods have been added and several editorial changes such as inclusion of ICS No., Hindi title and Reference clause have also been incorporated.
2 In this standard separate limits for iron content (as Fe2O3) have been prescribed for calcite, limestone and dolomite. Limits for lime (as CaO) have not been prescribed separately for dolomitic limestone and dolomite but have been left for agreement between the purchaser and the supplier subject to the total lime and magnesia content being inconformity with the requirements given in Table 1. A method for the determination of loss on ignition has also been prescribed in the standard to enable one to have an idea of the nature of the material.
