| 1 | Significant quantities of wastes are generated from steelmaking process which is a focus point now-a-days w.r.t. its utilization as well as environmental impact. The solid wastes generated from the process of a steel industry principally consist of slag, sludge, dust & fines, mill scales, refractory wastes. Iron (BF) slag and steel (BOF) slag contribute the major share (around 90%) of solid waste generation. Therefore, this standard has been revised to include latest guideline regarding chemical composition and possible uses of BF and BOF slag. | |
