| 1 | The committee deliberated that the method for the measurement of Viscosity at 150°C for CRMB is mentioned as IS 1206 P-2 which is exclusively for normal viscosity grade bitumen and Capillary viscometer is used for this purpose. If viscosity of rubber modified bitumen is tested using capillary viscometer then (i) it will clog the capillary (ii) the flow of CRMB will not be Newtonian. Accordingly, the committee decided to change the method of test as given in draft amendment. | |
