Grade I of chamois leather is used by the defence services and in engineering industries for filtering petrol to remove moisture, while the other grades are mainly used for polishing and cleaning purposes. Chamois leather is also used in the manufacture of ladies hand gloves, apparel use, lining of binocular cases and in packing ammunition. As lining leather, chamois leather finds application in the manufacture of orthopaedic appliances. | |
