Sodium and potassium can also be determined by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry with reference to procedure given in IS 3025 (Part 2). Likewise, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry with reference to procedure given in IS 3025 (Part 65) can also be used for the determination of sodium and potassium in water and wastewater.
