MHD23 : Anatomy and Forensic Sciences Equipment


  • Scope : 1. To formulate Indian Standards for medical instruments and equipment used in anatomy including genetics, histology, storage of body and body parts, embalming, plastination of human parts/sections for teaching, museum preservation, study of virtual anatomy etc. 2. To formulate Indian Standards for medical instruments and equipment used in forensic medicine including storage of human body and viscera at different temperatures, preservatives, study of toxicology, forensic biology and study of biological tissues, firearm evaluations, DNA analysis etc.
