| SCOPE : | a)Formulation of standards on (i)Basic mechanical engineering subjects for general applicability such as fasteners of all types (bolts, nuts, rivets, pins, nails, washers etc.), knurls, relief grooves, countersunks and counterbores, and (ii)Screw threads including basic profiles, pitch-diameter combination, terminology, technical requirement and tolerances but excluding screw thread gauges. b) Coordination of work with: (i) ISO/TC 1 Screw Thread (P-Member) (ii) ISO/TC 2 Fasteners (P-Member) (iii) ISO/TC 2/SC 7 Reference standard (P-Member) (iv) ISO/TC 2/SC 11 Fasteners with metric external thread (P-Member) (v) ISO/TC 2/SC 12 Fasteners with metric internal thread (P-Member) (vi) ISO/TC 2/SC 13 Fasteners with non-metric thread (P-Member) (vii) ISO/TC 2/SC 14 Surface coatings (O-Member) |
