BIS Care App

BIS provides an interface for consumers to lodge any complaint or grievance through a complaint portal on our website or through e-mail. However, considering the fact that mobile phones have become an easy mode to access the internet and communicate, a mobile app based on the Android platform has been developed, that would provide the same facilities accessible through a mobile phone.

The BIS Care App has shouldered the responsibility of leading the charge in India’s battle against the #FreedomFromFake. As part of its efforts, the app has introduced a language interface, aiming to connect with all consumers. There are now 12 languages, enhancing its accessibility and user-friendliness for all consumers across India. As part of its efforts, the app has introduced a language interface, aiming to connect with all consumers.

The Android based mobile application provides consumers with the facility to access a complete Complaint Management System. Consumers can lodge their grievances, preferably with supporting evidence, against ISI-marked or BIS-certified products or services rendered to them by BIS.

Features of the App:

The consumer can register himself with BIS through a simplified one time registration module. The user is required to enter his name and mobile number, with the option to provide his email address as well. The user is good to use the app after an initial identity verification done through a one-time password.
The app provides the consumer with the facility to lodge complaints regarding any of the following issues:

o Quality of the product

o Quality of Services

o Misleading Advertisements

o Other issues regarding any ISI marked product

BIS is the National Standard Body of India established under the BIS Act 2016 for the harmonious development of the activities of standardization, marking, and quality certification of goods and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
